Qualifications:
- High school diploma AND some year’s museology experience.
OR
- An acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience will also be considered.

Language requirement: English essential, bilingualism (French / English) an asset.

Knowledge Requirements
- Of basic museum practices
- Of military history, an asset
- Of automated collections management systems, digital imaging systems, graphics and scanner software

Experience Requirements
- In artifact documentation
- In artifact labelling
- In preventative conservation and storage for mixed media collections
- in using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, e-mail and Internet browsing
 
Summary:
Under the supervision of the Museum Curator, the Assistant Curator prepares worksheets and acquisition files for each artifact in accordance with museum standards. He/She assists with the proper storage and handling of museum artifacts and with the installation of artifacts, exhibits and displays.
